Starting Wednesday, March 16, NBT’s consumer customers will notice a new modern design when they access their online banking account from a web browswer. The upgrade to Digital One Flex, allows us to deliver digital solutions and experiences that our customers want the most, with more advanced capabilities and added personalization when accessing their online accounts.

Online banking consumer users will be prompted to enter a one-time security code – received via text or call – on the login screen.

Q. Will I be forced to change my password when upgrading to Digital One Flex?

A. No, your password will carry forward from Online Banking to Digital One Flex.

Q. Will I need to change my user ID when upgrading to Digital One Flex?

A. No, your username will carry forward from Online Banking to Digital One Flex.

Q. Why don’t I see a text option for my phone number for Security Code validation for the Digital One Flex login process?

A. The text option is only available for phone types defined as Mobile or Cell. If you have a mobile phone number defined under a Home phone number type, it will only display a Call option. 

Q. Are Digital One Flex user IDs case sensitive?

A. No, Digital One Flex user IDs are NOT case sensitive.

Q. Will the password rules I have defined in Web Administration for Online Banking be carried forward to Digital One Flex?

A. Password rules will carry forward to Digital One Flex with the exception of a few new rules that were applied for security purposes; specifically:
 
1. A user's Digital One Flex password cannot match their user ID.
2. A user's Digital One Flex password cannot contain their first, middle, or last name in forward or reverse order. 

Q. If I have a temporary or expired password in Online Banking, will I be upgraded to Digital One Flex?

A. Yes, you will be upgraded to Digital One Flex; however, you will be prompted to change your password when first logging on to Digital One Flex.

Q. If I don’t have an email address in Online Banking, will I be upgraded to Digital One Flex?

A. Yes, you will be upgraded to Digital One Flex; however, you will be prompted to add an email address when first logging on to Digital One Flex.
